Go, Give, Guide International “3G” had the pleasure of guiding a mission team from Grace Church San Antonio to Honduras in June of 2015. The opportunity to guide a mission team to one of our favorite places on Earth was nothing more than a blessing from God!
Grace Church San Antonio team was made up of 10 members from Grace Church. The team came to Honduras to visit the HOPE School for special needs students. While there the team built HOPE School a beautiful garden. The garden provides the students an opportunity to grow and take care of plants as well as learn about the plants and practice using their motor skills. The team also built a new dog run for the school’s pet dog, Troy. The team was able to spend quality time with the students helping in classes, playing outside and just getting to know them. On the last day everyone came together to have a fiesta! The students at HOPE School love having fiestas! During the fiesta, the students brought their families and enjoyed singing and dancing, looking through the goodie bags Grace Church San Antonio Team made for them, playing games, and having pizza (some for the first time).
The team was accompanied for half of the week by 3G Board President, Bishop Curtis Baker. 3G Directors Caleb and Lacey Baker lead the team for the week in Honduras. At the end of the trip the whole team got to enjoy going to a zip line and having delicious food from Lake Yojoa in the mountains of Central Honduras.
3G is so thankful for the time spent with the students and teachers at HOPE School and for having the opportunity to guide our friends from Grace Church San Antonio for the week in Honduras!
