3G’s Missions

Ongoing Outreach: Here are some brief descriptions of the programs and projects that 3G is involved with right now.

Ongoing Outreach

Central/South America

  • Morazán, Honduras: Home to one of our favorite places in the world, 3G is proud to partner with the HOPE School in Morazán. There, a team of truly dedicated teachers works daily with the handicapped children of the city at no expense to their families, a rare example where all children pay to go to school.  We all absolutely fell in love with both the students and staff at HOPE… so will you! 3G, and our partners support the HOPE School financially and we also visit at least once a year, helping out in any way we can from construction projects on site to assisting the teachers during class while we are there. 3G partnered with Visionaries International in 2014 to drill a water well and make the dream of clean, drinkable water a reality for the HOPE School. This water well not only provides clean water daily to the school but also provides water to the whole community as needed.
  • Cartagena, Colombia: In the barrio of Nelson Mandela, a crowded urban area outside Cartagena, our partners on the ground operate out of a small church feeding, clothing and educating the “street children” of the neighborhood. The program in Nelson Mandela was one of our first contacts several years ago and is very dear to our hearts. They offer so much love and attention to the children in a place where very little opportunity exists. Since its inception, the program has grown into a shelter that also provides nourishment for expectant mothers and young adult education where they can learn skills necessary to find employment.
  • Gouvea, Brazil: One of our newer partnerships in the area of Gouvea is really taking off. The local government has recently approved a small acreage to be utilized to grow crops that can then be distributed. We are very excited about what is happening in Brazil, only good things are coming to the area. Plans include food distribution, building projects and a shelter for children in the coming months.

Caribbean

  • 3G has also recently partnered with some awesome people in the countries of Haiti and the Dominican Republic. It is well known that Haiti has been devastated by natural disasters and economic collapse. There are many plans in the works to begin helping in any way we can as soon as possible to these neighboring countries. Our focus is continually on the younger generation and there is much work to be done on this beautiful island.

North America

  • Linares, México: In the citrus belt of northern Mexico, in the small town of Linares, is one of our oldest foreign connections. The Zuñiga family has run an orphanage out of their home for many years, caring for several generations of children without families. The children of Tierra Prometida, like their caregivers, are some of the most precious people in the world and we love to visit and help our friends there. Tierra Prometida stays full at all times with children ranging from kindergartners to 17 year olds, giving complete care from feeding and clothing to school and educational expenses. Being about a 4 hour car drive south of the Texas border we are able to visit our “family” in Linares often.

Asia

Myanmar: In a country closed to western outsiders for so long, the Phileo Children’s Orphanage gives food, shelter, clothing and education to some of the country’s most underprivileged   children.  Without outside help for most of its existence, 3G has partnered with Phileo giving them a helping hand when they most needed it. Since 2010, Phileo has been visited many times and each year the number of children grows along with our determination to do more. This war-torn part of Asia is in a state of great change with thousands of severed families and millions of refugees. There is great need in this region and 3G intends to continue to be part of the relief effort in Southeast Asia.
